Preventative Measures and General COVID-19 Protocols

The health and security of our guests and staff is our main priority. Casas Heddy’s guiding philosophy is to support the physical and mental well being of our guests. Our resort is spacious, allows easy physical distancing and is located only a couple minutes away from one of the largest hospitals on the island. Please see below the details on our COVID-19 protocols and preventative measures.


  • All staff are provided with the necessary personal protection equipment
  • All staff are specially trained in COVID-19 protocol
  • Regular health controls of all staff, temperature controls at the beginning of the working day
  • Following and ensuring social distancing measures
  • Disinfecting gels throughout the property and in staff only areas


  • All guests and visitors temperature checked on arrival, hand sanitized, masks in public areas
  • Screen, masks and sanitising gel provided
  • Contactless check-in / check-out and minimal paperwork
  • All materials given to our guests are disinfected (keys, pens, etc.)
  • Information provided to all guests about our COVID-19 protocol, preventative measures and correct use of our facilities
  • Social distancing measures maintained between clients and employees
  • Luggage disinfection product available at the reception

Cleaning Services:

  • Adapted laundry (over 60º and with disinfectant products ) and cleaning protocol according to local legislation
  • Rooms are cleaned only, when the customers are not present
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of the entire apartment with approved virucidal products
  • Cleaners provided with the necessary individual protection and safety equipment and training

Food and beverage services:

  • Reduced capacity of restaurants, bars and terraces in order to keep the distancing measures
  • Assisted buffet breakfast is introduced, protected by screen and with scheduled turns
  • Hydroalcoholic gel points provided at all entrances of the bar and the restaurant
  • 2 meter distance left between tables and all tables and chairs are disinfected before and after each use
  • Menus are available via QR code
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of our kitchens and equipments, following the established protocols of temperature, products and frequency
  • All staff of the restaurant, bar and kitchen are provided with the necessary individual protection and safety equipment

Other facilities:

  • Sun loungers around the pool are redistributed to guarantee the minimum 2 meter distance
  • Maximum capacity in the pool is monitored and maintained
  • Intensified control in chlorination levels and disinfection protocols for the pools are introduced
  • Enhanced hygiene protocols and maximum capacity monitoring are in place in the gym and wellness areas
